Fertilize it. You can’t make it rain without installing an irrigation system. You can’t control the temp. Farmers have to give their crops a boost with fertilizer so grass is no different. Oh and you can also trim low hanging limbs which block the sun from the grass.

Here’s a short clip of a driveway we pressure washed this week. The video is from a phone so it’s not great quality but you can see how clean driveway becomes. We serve the Northeast Georgia area.

I was reading an article in a turf magazine this morning covering the use of gray water. It was very eye opening. Apparently there are a lot of misconceptions about gray water, which is just used sink, shower, washing machine water. Many states have harsh restrictions on using the water for no real reason. There has never been any illness caused by the use of this water when used correctly. As long as the water is diverted away from any “black water” then it is great for irrigation purposes. It would save millions of gallons of water every year if implemented the way it should be. I’ll be checking into what restrictions aplly in our area and let you all know.

most leaves can be mulched up with your mower. Magnolia leaves…. not so much. They are thick and tough so really raking them up to be removed is about the only thing to do. One wierd option is to lay out a big net to catch them then dump them once a week. That option can be tricky but may save some time.

Are you a serial plant killer? If you bring home a new plant only to have it wither in a few days, you are not alone. Many have a hard time finding their green thumb. You should research plants that are easy to care for and tougher than frail ones. This will help you learn as you go. Then build up to other flowers as you get better at caring for them.
