Every Lawn in Maysville Georgia

I want to take care of every lawn in Maysville Georgia. Why? That is where I live! Less driving is really appealing to me and it saves my customers money because I am more efficient so I can compete on price. I already maintain several properties here in Maysville. These customers are some of the best I have. From mowing to fire ant treatment we can make your lawn more enjoyable. According to city-data.com Maysville has about 1600 residents. Out of that number I should be able to get a higher percentage of clients here in Maysville.

The Organic Lawn Dilemma

Organic lawn care is gaining popularity nationwide. Concerns over chemicals on properties where children play are a concern mostly because of people not following directions when using fertilizers. Nonetheless the concerns are there. Organic lawn care is time consuming so unless new techniques come about, I do not see most homeowners using this organic plan. They don’t have time to do so. Most homeowners do not do their own fertilizing in my region of the country and that would be much quicker than the organic process. So I doubt they will spend more time and effort just to “go green”.

Video on Organic Lawn Fertilizers

The guy over at safelawns.org has a good video up that shows how to make organic fertilizer. There are several on the link above. The specific one about organic tea is very good. It shows the easy but time consuming process of making your own lawn fertilizer. You need a compost pile and small gadgets (optional) and a manual sprinkler (optional). You also need some free time. The organic movement in lawns is cool but make no mistake. It is not as easy as buying some fertilizer or paying a guy to fertilize for you.

The complexities of greening your lawn

The complexities of greening your lawn | Philadelphia Inquirer | 07/22/2009.

The debate over lawn chemicals never ends. Organic sounds nice but is not as effective as store bough chemicals. The chemicals are mostly safe when used properly. For now it looks like the biggest cities with more oppresive governments are the only ones banning chemical lawn care outright.

Who Wants a Small Lawn Fertilizing Company?

Starting in early 2010 we will be offering a lawn fertilizing program her in Northeast Georgia. We currently do maintenance only but often get asked to do the fertilizing because the client is not happy with the “big company” that is doing it currently. We will offer the full service and a consulting service. We will come out and do a soil test and then give you a written game plan for those of you who would like to take care of your own fertilizing treatments. Email me with any questions

Derry to sharpen lawn regulation – Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Derry to sharpen lawn regulation – Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The linked story describes a small town dealing with overgrown lawns. The council people are crying over wasted manpower because city crews are mowing instead of “eating more doughnuts I guess”.  No one is forcing the city to do this work. They had the bright idea to enforce rules on private property owners in the first place. I know I would not want my neighbor’s property to be knee high in grass but that is not my property. I can put up a fence if i do not want to see it.

Many of the properties that are out of control are likely foreclosures or just people who don’t care about their property. So the idea of raising fines on the overgrown lawns will not work. If someone does not care they won’t pay. Nor will a person who will soon be out of the home anyway.

Mowing Cemeteries

Taking care of graveyards must be one of the biggest challenges for churches. It is not hard for members to mow a church property and do a little weed trimming around the church and a couple of trees. But when the volunteers are expected to keep 200 headstones free of weeds it gets tougher. Spraying weed killer sure makes it easier if you get on top of it. Contact us if you need a good weed killer that is affordable. Or if you want someone to take care of your church property all together.
