Outdoor Equipment North GA

Where to buy red maxx products in Jackson County Ga ? The place I buy red maxx stuff from is in Jefferson at Davis Equipment on the Winder rd past JCCHS. There is also a new red maxx dealer close to the Commerce exit off I-85. I’ve been pleased with this brand of outdoor equipment thus far.

Snow in Maysville, GA

I don’t care for snow and usually wish against it. But it is hard not to want it just a little. It does look nice at first. And it gets kids excited and us adults too I think.

Oh I have to post a picture of a friends yard from 2 days ago in Nicholson. He made is own snow with a snow machine he built himself from plans on the internet. Pretty cool.

Nasty Cold in North GA

Ouch. 2010 is starting out freezing this first week. Might as well grin and bear it.

Fire Ants in Georgia

Why are there fire ants in Georgia in the first place? We all hate fire ants but how did they get here. I have always heard they came to America on ships but wanted to find out for sure. So I read a UGA paper on them and sure enough fire ants first invaded Mobile Alabama at a port in the 1930′s. They just spread to the surrounding southern states after that. Fire ants do well in southern states like Georgia because of the mild winters and other conditions.
