Save Gas on Lawn Care

One easy way to save money on gas while doing lawn care is to ease up on the throttle of your weed trimmer. Unless you are trimming an overgrown ditch , there is no need to run a weed eater wide open. About half throttle is plenty on normal trimming. For example, in my lawn care business where we may mow 9 yards a day we never use a full gallon of mixed gas for our weed trimmers.

Where to Buy Plants in North Georgia

Where do you all get your plants in the north Georgia area? Home Depot, local nurseries, or even the flea market? Shirley’s feed and seed in Commerce sells quite a bit in my area. Of course HD sells a ton of plants as well. I like smaller places like Shirley’s and have even bought a couple things at the J&J flea market in Athens. I have had good luck with both.

Cutting your grass too low is a top reason your lawn looks worse than your neighbors. Also check your tire pressure on your lawn mower. Low pressure causes uneven mowing and scalping.
