It amazes me how bad some properties look that people are trying to sell. Obviously some are forclosures which no one has incentive to clean up. But many are just normal places up for sell that wold have a better chance of selling if they looked better kept. Keeping the lawn mowed is an easy way to keep a home looking decent. Were I shopping for a house, I would never even stop at one that have 7 inch grass. It just turns shoppers off. Also pressure washing the home is an inexpensive way to make it more presentable. I would also suggest doing a video tour of your home to post online so shoppers can see without driving out. Your realtor might know of a service that does this to help you if you can’t do it yourself. Little things here and there can make a difference especially in a slow real estate market.
