How To Sharpen Lawn Mower Blades

The easiest way I have found to sharpen blades is to use an angle grinder. Clamp the blade down securely then, put on safety glasses. Next sharpen the edge of the cutting section of the blade. No need to grind much on the upper edges as it is not hitting any grass. So just sharpen the part that gets dull. as for balancing, I have never once balanced a blade in 12 years of running a lawn service business & have replaced one spindle only (knock on wood). As long as you are taking approximately the same amount of metal off each side you are fine. I will post a video of the short process next time I sharpen my sets of blades.
