Property Service Providers in Northeast Georgia

There are many many property service providers in North Georgia. Why choose us?

I’d say trust is the number one factor when allowing workers to come on your property. We have a section on our website  here that lets or clients tell about their experiences with us. We are not a big company so you don’t have to worry about crews coming out that we just hired the day before. We are small and easy to get in contact with. Some big lawn care companies are basically marketing machines that send managers out to smooth over every problem that arises with their work. We take care of our clients the right way each time we come out to service the property so we don’t have to “smooth things over” constantly.

Contact us today to handle all your property service needs.

Property Improvements In Georgia Winter

When the grass growth slows down in November what do you need to do to your property? It is easy to think you can just sit back until Early spring of next year and do nothing. But that just puts you behind and leaves your property and the exterior of your home in a mess!

Below is a list of things I recommend for off season work on your property in Northeast Georgia. We offer most of these services if you need help. Contact us.

  1. Mulch up leaves… they hurt your lawn if too many of them just stay there.
  2. Keep gutters cleaned out.
  3. Put out rye grass which grows in cold weather. It helps keep lawn healthy while other grass types go dormant.
  4. Trim low hanging and unhealthy tree limbs.
  5. Trim hedges.
  6. Put out pinestraw after leaves have all fallen.
  7. Pressure wash house before putting up Christmas decorations.
  8. Aerate the lawn.
  9. De-thatch the lawn.
  10. Do a soil test to see what your lawn needs to be healthier.
  11. Sharpen lawn mower blades.
  12. Winterize mower gas.
  13. Treat your lawn to prevent fire ants in late Febuary or early March.

Fall Weather in Jackson County Georgia

With Fall comes leaves in Northeast Georgia. That means gutter clean outs and yard cleanups. These things can be time consuming as well as dangerous because of ladders. If you live in the Jackson County area we can help you with these tasks. Contact us today with any needs you have for lawn care in the slow growing season or sign up for next season’s mowing.

A couple tips on leaves. Use a tarp to move large piles of them. Try doing this with the help of your mower also. Wait until all the leaves fall before putting new pinestraw on beds. This way leaves don’t fall on top of the nice pinestraw. And you do not have to remove the leaves from the beds. They will decompose under the straw.

Jefferson Georgia Lawns

Ever wonder why your lawn looks unhealthy while your neighbor’s lawn looks great and green? Likely you are not fertilizing. If you don’t want to spend a lot on a company to spray year round you can do it yourself. Just a basic fertilizer 10-10-10 will help. Just spread it evenly and don’t over do it. Google the correct amounts to use per 1000 square foot.http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/4447428/greenlawn-main_Full.jpg

Who Wants a Small Lawn Fertilizing Company?

Starting in early 2010 we will be offering a lawn fertilizing program her in Northeast Georgia. We currently do maintenance only but often get asked to do the fertilizing because the client is not happy with the “big company” that is doing it currently. We will offer the full service and a consulting service. We will come out and do a soil test and then give you a written game plan for those of you who would like to take care of your own fertilizing treatments. Email me with any questions

Derry to sharpen lawn regulation – Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Derry to sharpen lawn regulation – Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

The linked story describes a small town dealing with overgrown lawns. The council people are crying over wasted manpower because city crews are mowing instead of “eating more doughnuts I guess”.  No one is forcing the city to do this work. They had the bright idea to enforce rules on private property owners in the first place. I know I would not want my neighbor’s property to be knee high in grass but that is not my property. I can put up a fence if i do not want to see it.

Many of the properties that are out of control are likely foreclosures or just people who don’t care about their property. So the idea of raising fines on the overgrown lawns will not work. If someone does not care they won’t pay. Nor will a person who will soon be out of the home anyway.

Lawn Service Maysville Georgia

Would I change lawn service providers to save a few dollars a month? No. If I were happy with my current guy I would not change to save a small amount. I give that advise to anyone who is considering us.  We are happy to take on new clients but we don’t use price as a gimmick. If we do a good job we hope our clients keep us for the quality of our work. So if you are pleased with your lawn service company, I say keep them on. If you’re not happy then call us. Our prices are very competitive though because we are very efficient.

Jefferson GA Lake Half Dry

With all the rain we have been blessed with, somehow the city of Jefferson has managed to let their water supply go nearly dry. From the road it looks half full ( or half empty). I know I read about them cleaning out some silt but I don’t think turning the watershed into a dirt track was part of the plan. I’d love to hear the explanation on this story. I’d also like to point out that the lake was nearly dry a couple years back when the drought first hit Georgia. But the story I heard was that beaver dams were a major part of the problem. After some government worker figured out the problem and they fixed it, the lake filled up quickly before we got any significant rain. I’m glad bureaucrats are in control of water supplies.

Get Some Pinestraw on those beds

Time to spruce up those landscaping beds with some pinestraw. During the slow season you don’t have to worry about the heat or keeping the grass mowed so now is perfect timing for pinestraw. Also if you are trying to sell your home in the Jackson County area then it gives you a better chance if your property looks better than the others for sale. The same priciple holds true for pressure washing. If 90% of the houses for sale in your town have mildew and yours is clean that gives you an advantage in the real estate market.
