With all the extra rain we are getting in Northeast Georgia it is important to save up as much of it as we can. There are a few ways to gather the rain for theĀ not so raining days that may come back in the form of a drought. Rain barrels at the bottom of down spouts is a common way to save water for plants. Also if you have a pool cover that holds water, then get a cheap pump to drain it off into some barrels for later use. The easiest way to gather water is 5 gallon buckets or 50 gallon drums at the base of a barn or out building with no gutters. It is amazing how much water runs off a roof.
